Timing Belts

The timing belt is an integral part of your engine and if it fails, so does your engine, causing your car to shut down.  This can potentially cause very costly damage to the engine.  Unfortunately, in most cases, there are no obvious signs that the timing belt is near the end of it’s life; it will just break.  That is why it is strongly recommended that the timing belt be replaced every 100,000 to 160,000 km.  Always check your owner’s manual for the manufacturer’s recommended replacement interval.
